Daytrotter All of us at Daytrotter and everyone at the Capitol Theatre would like to thank those who came out to our Friday the 13th concert featuring The Botticellis, Driver of the Year, and Europe-bound Eyes. We had a nice crowd for the short amount of time that we had to promote the show, and we hope that the fun times had by all will bring you out more frequently, as we'll continue to present shows as often as we can. We can do them more if the interest is there. The Capitol show gave us a glimmer of hope.

For the small but mighty crowd at the Tim Fite show last week, you know what these shows can be. It's safe to say that he could be the best performer that will come through the Quad Cities this year.

We're calming down the recording frenzy this week a touch, but we'll be recording Jaymay, Wye Oak, Pontiak, The Morning Benders, Cotton Jones Basket Ride (formerly Page France), Javelins, and The Weather Underground this week. If you'd like to help any of them out and purchase merch from them when they're in town, let us know here: (daytrotter@gmail.com).

Our Spoon session - recorded the afternoon that they were here playing at The Capitol in April - was posted on the site this Monday. It's not to be missed. Also posted this week were sessions by Herman Dune, Dri (who played at Huckleberry's two months ago), The Orange Opera, and Pomegranates (who have a bit of the Shins and a bit of Built to Spill in them and will be playing with Javelins this coming Saturday, June 21, at Huckleberry's Pizza Parlor).

Tickets for the June 27 Amos Lee concert at Huckleberry's are nearly sold out, so if you have any intention of attending, please write to the above address to try to reserve your spots. We're also taking pre-orders for the June 30 Justin Townes Earle show at Huckleberry's. It will be a great chance to see one of the country's great young talents (Steve Earle's son and one of the 2008 nominees for the Americana Music Association's Emerging Artist of the Year Award) in an intimate setting. The guy is amazing.
