DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 30, 2024) — The Iowa Business Council (IBC) will hold a Vision to Vitality forum with Eastern Iowa area business leaders on Tuesday, November 19, 9–10:30AM, at the Eastern Iowa Community College Urban Campus. The forum will be co-hosted by John Deere, KENT Corporation, and HNI Corporation.
The Vision to Vitality forum will discuss cultivating the workforce pipeline and proactive steps leaders can take to grow thriving communities that attract and retain talent. There will be a presentation on Eastern Iowa workforce and community advancement efforts. IBC President Joe Murphy will follow with a presentation of the IBC’s research efforts highlighting population growth and the state’s economy. After his presentation, a panel will convene with local leaders. Panelists for the Eastern Iowa Vision to Vitality event include:
- Rich Dwyer — SVP Corporate Affairs and Enterprise Risk, KENT Corporation
- Thomas Johnson — Factory Manager, John Deere
- Jennifer Petersen — Vice President, Member and Community Relations, HNI Corporation
The Vision to Vitality forum will conclude with an audience Q&A. Panelist comments and audience feedback is used to help instruct Iowa Business Council policy and priority initiatives.
Vision to Vitality forums are held across the state to produce candid discussions between IBC members and local community leaders about Iowa’s economy and best practices for future growth. Ultimately, these efforts foster statewide collaboration and strengthen Iowa businesses.
