CORALVILLE, IOWA (September 29, 2020) — The Iowa Women's Foundation (IWF) Annual luncheon is happening next week on Friday, October 9. If you haven’t yet purchased a ticket, please do — there is still time.

Join your friends, family, and colleagues as we celebrate the POWER of Iowa’s women and girls from the comfort of our homes and offices. Hear inspiring stories from five amazing women (learn about our speakers here) and watch as we reveal our 2021 Grantee Partners.

The Big Reveal

This year, IWF will grant $100,000 to 13 programs as part of the Core Grants for 2021. Each program addresses one of the six barriers to women’s economic self-sufficiency: employment, child care, housing, education/training, transportation, and mentoring.

At the Luncheon, you’ll learn about our 2021 Grantees and their programs that are working to:

  • Benefit middle-school girls;
  • Enable more women to learn a trade;
  • Provide opportunities for refugee women to become entrepreneurs;
  • Assist teenage parents in their quest to finish high school;
  • Pilot a program for women farmers; and
  • And create safe transportation options for women and their children.

Event Schedule

A pre-program will begin at 11:45AM as everyone logs on and gets settled in with their own lunch in their own space. The main event will begin promptly at 12PM. All attendees will need to register in advance with the purchase of a ticket that includes both the pre-program and the luncheon. A secure link will be provided to attend.

From Sioux City to Dubuque, from the Quad Cities to Council Bluffs, and all points in between — we are collaborating across the state with community members, business owners, child-care providers, working parents, and elected officials to improve the lives of Iowa’s women and girls.
