Main Amana, IA: Amana Arts Guild’s Festival of the Arts to celebrate 40 years on August 12th, 2017.   Festivities are scheduled to begin at 10:00AM and end at 5:00PM in the Main Amana Market Barn, 707 46TH Ave.  Amana.

Artists of all mediums; painters, potters, photographers, pastels and jewelry makers, along with demonstrations of the traditional Amana arts of quilt-making, tinsmithing, blacksmithing and wood-turning will be featured. Children will have an area for self-expression; musical entertainment will be provided by Ursula and Friends.  The Amana Meat Market will be serving lunch, the Amana Arts Guild will be serving our famous apfel fritters and ice cold rhubarb drink (while supplies last) along with homemade desserts, the Amana Heritage Society will serve potato pancakes.  A pastel by Gordon Kellenberger will be raffled.  The pastel is on display and tickets are available now at the AAG Gallery and Shop located in High Amana. (Need not be present to win.)
