Main Amana, IA: Amana Arts Festival to celebrate 40 years on August 12th.

Festivities are scheduled to begin at 10:00AM, and end at 5:00PM in the Main Amana Market Barn.

Artists of all mediums; painters, potters, photographers, pastels and jewelry makers, along with demonstrations of the traditional Amana arts of quilt-making, tinsmithing, blacksmithing and wood-turning will be featured. Children will have an area for self-expression, musical entertainment will be provided and Amana food will be available for purchase. The Amana Meat Market will be serving lunch, the Amana Heritage Society will serve potato pancakes, the Amana Arts Guild will be frying traditional apfel fritters and making a refreshing rhubarb drink along with desserts and celebratory birthday cake.

We are also raffling a beautiful pastel landscape by Gordon Kellenberger. Tickets are available through the Amana Arts Guild or at the festival.

NEW THIS YEAR: The event location has changed to be more centrally located for attendees.
