ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 2, 2025) — We are once again participating in Birdies for Charity, a major fundraiser for us. Thanks to you, last year we raised $21,252 through Birdies! All of your contribution — 100% — stayed in the Quad Cities and supported community programming for people of all ages and abilities in area schools, libraries, community centers, and of course on stages.

Did you know? Each year:

  • 65,000 Quad Citizens attend an outreach program and/or see a live ballet performance;
  • 12,000 students participate in one of our 6 educational outreach programs;
  • 2,250 3rd grade students see The Nutcracker at the Adler Theatre in December;
  • 2,900 students in the Pleasant Valley School District see a live performance as part of our bullying prevention program;
  • We take programs to 8 Quad City school districts and are adding more; and
  • We host community outreaches all over the QC.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support of Ballet Quad Cities. Your donation is matched at least 5% making every $1 worth $1.05. When you give to us through Birdies 100% of your contribution stays in the QC where it supports our community engagement and you are entered to win some great prizes!

We are Birdie N° 92.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
