When Radim first moved to Iowa, he was mesmerized by the abundance and brightness of fireflies during summer nights. During his childhood in the Czech Republic, he had never seen anything like it. He fell in love with fireflies, and the idea for this project was born. Radim had to wait for the advancement of low light technology capabilities to create his artistic vision. He now uses the latest digital camera equipment to photograph fireflies.

He has received several awards and has also been published in numerous publications for his firefly photos. He has exhibited Firefly photos in the USA, London, Rio DeJaneiro, Hungary and the Czech Republic. His work is part of UnityPoint Health, - Trinity's permanent collection displayed at their Rock Island Hospital location.
An artist's opening reception will be held on August 23rd, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Schreiber will speak at 6 p.m. about his work, career and process. The show runs through September 23rd, 2017.
