Mississippi River Parkway Commission launches Great River Road biking giveaway Bike the Great River Road Giveaway promotes cycling in 10 states along river

MADISON, Wis. (June 12, 2017)The Great River Road is a fantastic summer drive, offering 3,000 miles of outstanding scenery, interesting attractions and delicious dining options. But did you know there are some great biking options along the route as well?

The Mississippi River Parkway Commission (MRPC) has announced the launch of its second annual Bike the Great River Road Giveaway, a promotion highlighting some of the biking routes that can be found along the National Scenic Byway.

The giveaway, which runs through July 28, will award one grand-prize winner with a biking getaway prize package, including $250 in spending money, Great River Road gear and a 10-state Great River Road map.

To enter, fans can visit the Great River Road’s website or find them on Facebook.

Biking options about along the Great River Road, whether you’re looking for a ride on a backcountry road or a challenging mountain bike course.

There are also countless races and rides in the charming towns and cities that line both sides of the river from Minnesota to Louisiana.
