COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (May 30, 2025) — Zoo guests who stay past closing time could find themselves locked in the Zoo. After hours on Wednesday, June 11, you and your friends will be locked in and will have to follow clues and solve puzzles in order to Escape the Zoo!

You will journey to six different exhibits where you will try to unravel the ways our animals may help to reveal your escape plan. If you and your crew manage to Escape the Zoo, there will be a special surprise at the end!

This outdoor escape room experience should take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Ten Groups will participate and can be of mixed ages, from adults to children, with a recommended age of eight and older. Groups will have a maximum of ten people. Smaller groups may be combined to fill each time slot.

Date and Times: Wednesday, June 11, 5:30-8:30PM. Groups depart every fifteen minutes. The last group departure is at 7:45PM. Groups should arrive ten minutes before their departure time and will exit the Zoo after their completion time.

Location: Niabi Zoo Discovery Center and six exhibits. Enter the Discovery Center door to the right of the Zoo Admission Gates.

Cost: $30 per adult, $15 per child (eight to twelve years). Recommended for adults and children ages eight years and older.
