DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The City of Davenport will observe the Christmas holiday on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25. The New Year holiday will be observed on Wednesday, January 1.

All City of Davenport offices and the Public Works Center will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Police Department front desk and records office will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Eve.

Library Main, Fairmount, and Eastern branches will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

River’s Edge facility will close at 8PM on December 24, and remain closed all day on December 25. Likewise, the facility will close at 8PM on Tuesday, December 31, and will be closed on Wednesday, January 1.

Vander Veer Conservatory will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Adler Theatre Box Office will operate normal business hours December 24, and remain closed all day on December 25. Adler will be closed New Year's Day.

CitiBus service will end after the last trip made at 3PM on December 24. There will be no CitiBus service on December 25. Service will not be provided on January 1.

Compost Facility will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. Reminder — Compost Facility is now on winter hours until April 1. Winter hours are 8AM-3PM Monday through Friday and closed on weekends.

There will be no solid waste-collection on Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1. Monday collection will occur on Monday. Tuesday collection will occur on Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday collection will be one day late with Friday collection occuring on Saturday. Please refer to the solid waste collection calendar for the holiday schedule and additional information.

Residents may set out 3 extra bags of garbage next to their carts, without stickers, on their garbage day during the period of Thursday, December 26, through Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
