CEDAR COUNTY, IOWA (June 16, 2026) — The Community Foundation of Cedar County has awarded $150,950 to local organizations working to enhance and improve the educational, cultural, recreational, and economic environment in Cedar County.

The Community Foundation of Cedar County — a geographic affiliate of the Quad Cities Community Foundation — helps donors make a positive, local impact by offering a variety of giving tools to help people achieve their charitable giving goals and do good and lasting work in the Cedar County community.

“Our foundation was created by and for the citizens of Cedar County,” said Christina Eicher, board chair.

“Our donors recognize that non-profits are essential to the growth of our area, and these grants reflect that belief. These awards will fund a range of projects and will touch the lives of everyone in our community.”

This year’s grantees are comprised of a wide range of organizations and focus areas in capital projects and programs; community improvement and development, arts and culture, food insecurity, and recreation. What they all share is a mission of community service. Each organization is proactively strengthening its ability to serve the Cedar County community.

“Our entire region benefits from a strong nonprofit network,” said Kaleigh Trammell, grantmaking specialist at the Quad Cities Community Foundation.

“These organizations are committed to addressing the needs and opportunities in the community. It’s inspiring to see donors backing that mission and investing in a bright future.”
