DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 27, 2023) — This year will mark the eighth year for the jam-band-focused festival. The first four fests were held at North Shore Inn in Moline 2023 will mark the fourth-consecutive year at Schwiebert.

Dawn and On was founded in 2015 by Sean Ryan of the Dawn and Mike Mathews of Catapult Marketing.  The fest grew steadily in size over the first several years.

Dawn and On is a family-friendly, homegrown music festival featuring the area’s best local and regional talent. From rock to jam to bluegrass, the goal is to book bands that fit all tastes and are danceable.  The mission is bring all the magic of the multi-day music festival and condense into one highly affordable day in the heart of the Quad Cities. In addition to the live music, DAO brings in some of the area’s most talented arts and craft vendors, a variety of delicious food and snacks, premium craft bee.

This year’s headliners feature:

The Big Wu: Legendary jam-band out of the Twin Cities and the first band to perform at the first Bonnaroo festival. TheBigWu.com

Strange Neighbors: Staples of the jam/roots scene in the Quad Cities throughout the 90s and 2000s.  Reuniting for their first performance in five years.

Jon Stickley Trio: Instrumental Bluegrass/Jazz Fusion trio out of Asheville, North Carolina, making their second appearance at Dawn and On. jonstickley.com/

The Scarlet Goodbye: Songwriting duo formed by former Soul Asylum guitarist Dan Murphy.  thescarletgoodbye.com

Gates open at 11AM. Music runs from noon-midnight. Tickets are $20 at the Gate. Kids twelve and under are free.
