ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Visitor Center has received a new shipment of $10 America the Beautiful - Senior Passes, which had previously been sold out and were not expected to be replaced. This is the only facility within the Rock Island District that will have passes available. The passes, which have been in high demand since a price increase was announced in July, are available to all U.S. citizens age 62 or older and provide entrance to federally operated recreation sites across the country. For more information about the pass and other passes offered by the federal recreation program visit: https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm

The Senior Passes can be purchased for $10, Tuesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Mississippi River Visitor Center located on the west end of the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois. Due to the facility being located on a military installation you will need to pass a security background check to enter the island. All visitors will need to use the Moline entrance located off River Drive and 16th St. in Moline, Illinois, to gain access to the facility. For specific directions to the Visitor Center or for questions about purchasing the pass, contact the Mississippi River Visitor Center at 309-794-5338
