COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (March 27, 2026) — Gather your friends (age 21 and over) or come and make friends to enjoy your favorite beverage while learning about endangered Whale Sharks and how to paint them during this special Drink and Design. All skill levels are welcome! You don't have to be an artist to enjoy learning. Join us on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 6-8:30PM, to please your palate while using your palette!

Our special guest is marine biologist, Rafael de la Parra from Ch'ooj Ajauil (Blue Kingdom) in Mexico, Niabi's long-time conservation partner. He will share features and stories about whale sharks and the collaborative work that Niabi Zoo is doing with Ch'ooj Ajauil. Proceeds will go to support the continued conservation efforts of whale sharks to protect them in the ocean.

For adults age 21 and over, the cost is just $50 which includes art supplies, animal inspiration, and, of course, adult drinks (plus other drink options).
