Ernie Goss, the Jack MacAllister Chair in Regional Economics at Creighton University

 

NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA (June 4, 2019) — Ernie Goss of Creighton University will keynote the Corridor Business Journal’s 2019 Mid-Year Economic Review event, the CBJ announced today.

The June 26 luncheon will examine how the economy has changed in 2019 and discuss challenges and opportunities facing Corridor businesses.

Goss is the Jack MacAllister Chair in Regional Economics at Creighton University. He is also principal of the Goss Institute in Denver, Colorado. Goss received his PhD in Economics from The University of Tennessee and is a former faculty research fellow at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

Following his presentation, Jack Evans, chairman of The Hall-Perrine Foundation, will moderate a local leading indicators panel discussion. Panelists include:

  • David Barker, partner at Barker Apartments
  • Chris Hummer, president of Don Hummer Trucking Corp
  • Tom Pientok, president and CEO of Timberline Manufacturing
  • Robin Therme, president of CIVCO Medical Solutions
  • Heidi Vittetoe, manager of J.W. Vittetoe Pork Ltd

The event will be held 11:30AM-1:15PM, June 26, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids. Tickets are $50 per individual and $500 per table of 10. Lunch will be provided.
