CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (May 31, 2019) — The Families Helping Families of Iowa (FHF) board and staff are weeks away from their organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year. However, this year’s fundraiser will be a little different than it has been in the past. In addition to a silent auction fundraiser, this year’s event will also include food and beverage sampling from over 25 local establishments.

“We wanted to change things up a bit this year and host a fun, social event for the people who support our organization year after year. We hope to have a large crowd come out and enjoy the restaurants, breweries and wineries we are bringing together for the event and help us raise much needed funds,” shared Executive Director, Melissa Carlson.

What: Taste of the Corridor and Silent Auction

When: Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 6-9PM

Where: Hawkeye Downs Expo Center, 4400 6th St SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

Tickets are $20 per person. All ages are welcome. Anyone 21 and over must present valid ID. A link to purchase tickets can be found online at www.fhfia.org. All proceeds from the event go right back into the organization to support their mission of caring for Iowa’s children in foster care. Anyone interested in participating by sampling food or beverage or donating a silent auction item should call 319-294-9706 or email office@fhfia.org.
