Family Museum Gets Active!

Monday, March 11

10:00AM: Family Zumba Class

11AM-1PM: Golf with The First Tee of the Quad Cities

1-3PM: Hockey with the Quad City Storm

Get active on the first day of Spring Break! Join a seasoned Zumba instructor for a morning class that will have the whole family dancing in a fun, fitness party! Take a swing with The First Tee of the Quad Cities as their coaches turn the Great Hall into a putter’s paradise with special kid-friendly equipment! Then, meet hockey players from the Quad City Storm! Practice your puck skills with these pros and work up a sweat running from net to net in the Great Hall.

Crazy for Critters Day

Tuesday, March 12

10-10:45AM: King’s Harvest Pet Rescue

1-2:30PM: Down by the Creek Companion Animal Sanctuary

10AM-3PM: Pet Rocks

Are you crazy for critters? Stop by the Museum to meet some amazing animals and craft your own pet rock and pet rock house! In the morning, meet the animals of King’s Harvest Pet Rescue and learn how they find these pets loving homes, as well as food and shelter for animals in need. In the afternoon, learn about animal rehabilitation with Down By The Creek Animal Sanctuary. Fur, feathers, and scales will all be represented in this hands-on critter experience!

10:30AM and 1:30PM: Kids Clubhouse Adventures Shows

Between shows: Make a sock puppet

IPTV’s Dan Wardell brings his Kids Clubhouse Adventures to the Family Museum for a day that will be sure to flex your imagination! Dan will fly in with his cape and encourage kids to get up and play, make healthy choices, read good books, and use their imaginations.  Between shows, craft a sock puppet to take on your own make-believe adventures!

Make a Mess Day

Thursday, March 14

10AM- 3PM: Paint on a 15-foot-wide Canvas and Paint with Mud!

1-3PM: See a garbage truck, street sweeper, and snow plow from the Bettendorf Public Works Department

What’s better than getting a little messy? Leave your mark on a 15-foot-wide recycled canvas in the Great Hall and also try your hand at making a masterpiece… with MUD! Then, learn how messes in our city get cleaned up by checking out a garbage truck, street sweeper, and snow plow with Bettendorf’s Public Works Department.

Take to the Skies Day

Friday, March 15

Planetarium Shows: 10:00, 10:45, 11:30, 1:00, 1:45, and 2:30

1-3PM: Flight activities with the Quad City International Airport

Look to the skies and shoot for the stars! Learn all about our night sky in a mobile planetarium!* Join us for flight activities with the Quad City International Airport, including paper airplane making and more!

*Shows are first-come, first-served, so come early and sign up for a time slot!

Comic Con for Kids

Saturday, March 16

Noon-4PM

PJ Masks Catboy Meet & Greet: 1:00-1:45 and 3:00-3:45: Jump in the Cat-Car and come save the day with Catboy! Meet your favorite cat-masked superhero and take a photo!

BAM! KAPOW! ZAP! Embrace your inner superhero for an afternoon of comic book fun! Meet your favorite superheroes and pop culture characters with C4 Magazine! Make your very own comic book with In This Issue Comics and shop for some awesome collectibles and comics. Craft your own cape and let it fly in the wind on our genuine cape-testing machine! Kids are encouraged to come in costume to be entered to win a prize from the Museum’s Fox & Bee!
