On December 25, 2017 at approximately 12:34 AM, Blue Grass Fire, Buffalo Fire, the Scott County

Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Police Department and the Blue Grass Police Department were dispatched to a structure fire at the 300 block of Salem Street in Blue Grass. Four people were inside the home at the time that the fire started. Larry Loose Sr. (71), Rose Loose (71), and their sons Steven Loose (36) and Michael Loose (35). Michael Loose was pulled from the home, but was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital. The State Fire Marshal is reporting that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Larry and Rose have other children who reside in the Quad Cities and in Colorado.
