Gorham Sweeps Iowa State Fair FFA Rabbit Show

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Mariah Gorham of Carroll won Market Best of Show in the FFA Rabbit Show judged Thursday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Brooklyn Housley of Wayne was awarded Breeding Best of Show.

A total of 34 exhibitors from 22 chapters showed 191 animals in this year's competition.

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Kylee Silliman of Oskaloosa showed the Champion Commercial Ewe in the FFA Breeding Sheep show Friday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. Silliman's ewe topped 226 sheep exhibited by 116 other competitors.

Bevla Lee of Grinnell showed the Grand Champion Market Broiler. Ben Shemanski of Keota claimed the Reserve Champion Market Broiler title.

Skylar Windy of Pleasantville won the Grand Champion Breeding Birds title while Abbigail Bean of Sioux Rapids claimed the Reserve Champion Breeding Birds.

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Vin Nguyen of Orient- Macksburg claimed Best Doe of the Show honors at the FFA and 4-H Dairy Goat contest judged Thursday during the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Seven FFA exhibitors from six chapters showed twenty-six animals and fifteen 4-H Exhibitors from twelve clubs showed over forty- five animals in this year's competition.

Megan Reasoner of Mount Ayr took Champion Showmanship honors.
