DYERSVILLE, IOWA (April 24, 2026) — The Field of Dreams Movie Site will officially open its newly-constructed professional ballpark with the inaugural If You Build It high-school series, a six-date showcase celebrating area high-school baseball and the next generation of players stepping onto one of baseball’s most iconic stages.

The Field of Dreams Movie Site is proud to partner with TH Media as the presenting sponsor of the If You Build It high-school series.

The series will feature teams from across Eastern Iowa, including all six high schools from Dubuque County, competing in a unique experience that brings the magic of Field of Dreams to local student-athletes and fans alike.

“This series is about giving high school players the opportunity to compete on a field that represents everything great about the game,” said Tyler Daugherty, General Manager, Field of Dreams Ballpark.

“We’re proud to open our new ballpark by celebrating community, competition, and the future of baseball right here at the Field of Dreams.”

Series Schedule:

  • Wednesday, June 17: Clinton vs Western Dubuque (JV and Varsity)
  • Thursday, June 18: Cascade vs Beckman (Varsity Doubleheader)
  • Friday, June 19: Dubuque Hempstead vs Dubuque Senior (Varsity Doubleheader)
  • Monday, June 22: Bellevue vs North Linn (JV and Varsity)
  • Wednesday, June 24: Wahlert vs West Delaware (JV and Varsity)
  • Friday, June 26: Maquoketa Valley vs Anamosa (JV and Varsity)

Tickets for the “If You Build It” High School Series will be available beginning Monday, April 27, and can be purchased at www.fieldofdreamsmoviesite.com/high-school-game-series.

The Field of Dreams Movie Site is owned and operated by Dyersville Events Inc, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Dyersville Events Inc is leading the effort to preserve and expand the iconic 297-acre Field of Dreams site, ensuring it remains a place of connection, dreams, and pride for generations to come.
