DES MOINES, IOWA (August 11, 2026) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Iowa, the nation’s leading small-business association, has announced that fifteen state legislators — five members of the Senate and ten members of the House — achieved a 100% NFIB Voting Record in the 91st General Assembly over 2025-26.
“These legislators and their colleagues delivered for Main Street this session, overwhelmingly passing property-tax reform that will save tax-payers — including small businesses — over $400 million by FY 2031,” said NFIB Iowa State Director Cody Carlson.
“And by placing a constitutional amendment before voters this November requiring a two-thirds legislative majority to raise Iowa's flat income and corporate tax rates, they've given Iowans the opportunity to deliver lasting certainty for small businesses for years to come.”

The 2023-24 NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by lawmakers when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of the legislators. The voting record includes ten key votes in both chambers on issues important to small businesses, including tax relief, lawsuit reform, and regulations. It does not factor in that many of these legislators supported small businesses in committees, as well.
