WASHINGTON DC (June 13, 2025) — Operation Lifesaver Inc (OLI), the national nonprofit rail safety education organization, is launching the inaugural Emergency Notification System (ENS) Sign Awareness Day on Tuesday, June 24. This national observance brings attention to the Blue and White Emergency Notification System signs located across the United States where roadways cross railroad tracks.
These signs provide a critical lifeline in emergencies, connecting the public directly with the railroad through a posted phone number and unique crossing ID.
