Talent Submission Deadline – Thursday, Feb. 22

Feb. 8, 2018 (Davenport, Iowa) – The Genesis Cancer Care Institute will be welcoming Mandy Harvey and Preacher Lawson to the stage for the 9th annual Intimate Conversations fundraiser to benefit Gilda’s Club Quad Cities. Lawson, a comedian from Orlando, Florida, was a 2017 top 10 finalist on America’s Got Talent while Harvey took 4th place on the same stage as she used her ukulele to perform original songs during the competition. This event will be held on April 6, 2018 at Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport, IA. Gilda’s Club Quad Cities is looking for the Quad Cities’ best talent to be one of two opening acts for Lawson and Harvey at this event.

All ages are invited to submit their application and family friendly talent video, along with a $5 submission fee, to Gilda’s Club no later than Thursday, Feb. 22. Once submitted, a panel of judges from the Quad City area will review and score the videos, ultimately narrowing it down to the top 8 finalists – 4 finalists in the age category of 18 and Under and 4 finalists in the age category 19 and Over. Videos will be judged based on the following criteria: entertainment value, how the talent will translate to the big stage, professionalism and proficiency.

Once the top 8 finalists are announced, voting will be open from March 1 – April 4 and it will be up to the public to decide and vote for their favorite talent. Each vote will be $1 and the talent with the top votes in each age category will perform their talent, live on stage, at our Intimate Conversations event on April 6.
