DES MOINES, IOWA (November 19, 2025) — Today, Governor Kim Reynolds announced her appointment of Thomas Ogden as a district associate judge in Judicial District 5A.

Ogden, of Indianola, Iowa, is an Assistant Polk County Attorney. He received his undergraduate degree from Hillsdale College and law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Ogden fills a vacancy created following the retirement of the Hon Kevin Parker. Judicial District 5A includes Dallas, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Marion, and Warren Counties.
