DES MOINES, IOWA (May 8, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds issued the following statement after Iowa House and Senate Republicans reached an agreement on the Fiscal Year 2026 budget:

"As I've said for the last few weeks, my priority with the budget is maintaining fiscal discipline and putting Iowa tax-payers first,” Gov Reynolds said.

“This agreement among all three parties does just that, and I want to thank Republican leadership in both the House and the Senate for coming together to keep Iowa on a strong and fiscally-sustainable path."
