(DAVENPORT, IA.-August 4, 2008) Participants will get to interact with Richard Beymer who played "Tony" in the movie Westside Story (1961) and "Benjamin Horn" in Twin Peaks, during the "Images of India" film event at Figge Art Museum on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. As a filmmaker, Beymer has enjoyed successes including his award-winning documentary A Regular Bouquet: Mississippi Summer.

During "Images of India" his films Between Two Rivers and Shivaratri will be shown.

The Iowa Source describes Beymer`s Shivaratri as "...sights of India, candid shots of the remarkable festivities, of faces, the sounds, life along the Ganges, the whole rich tapestry of the event come alive before your eyes... Almost a meditative piece but alive in richness of spirit."

Starting at 6:30 p.m., participants will enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, followed by the viewing of the two films in Figge`s auditorium. After the films, participants will enjoy cocktails and conversation with Beymer. Reservations must be made by Monday, August 11, 2008 by contacting Kimberly Heatherly at (563) 326-7804, ext. 7805 or kheatherly@figgeartmuseum.org.  Tickets to the "Images of India" event are $20 each.
