DES MOINES, IOWA (February 29, 2024) — Creators of all ages from all over the world are invited to submit animated .gif files to the Dogtown Lights International .GIFest. Submissions received by March 6 premiere on March 8 at sundown in Des Moines’ Drake neighborhood.

Dogtown Lights features 48,000 interactive LED bulbs hanging in Des Moines’ Dogtown Business and Entertainment District from November to March. The programmable light display currently features designs by Drake University students.

International .GIFest submissions will be featured in the display from March 8 to 15.
