DES MOINES, IOWA (January 30, 2023) — The Iowa Association for Justice (IAJ) collected donations from Iowa trial attorneys across the state throughout 2022 to benefit the work and mission of Dementia Friendly Iowa. In addition to contributing more than $16,000 to Dementia Friendly Iowa, IAJ members and staff participated in a 5K Run to Remember in Waterloo to benefit Dementia Friendly and Veteran’s Way.

The program was part of IAJ’s Justice in Deed initiative, which links trial lawyers with community service organizations in need. Dementia Friendly Iowa helps promote change and education in communities to create a more welcoming, safe, and respectful space for people living with dementia and their caregivers.

Dementia Friendly Iowa is an initiative of the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging and programming is fully funded by grants and donations.

Please find a photo of the Association’s check presentation attached to this release (names below).
