DYERSVILLE, IOWA (May 4, 2026) — The Living Liver Foundation, in partnership with Iowa Donor Network (Team Iowa) and the Field of Dreams Movie Site, will host the annual Living Donor Awareness Softball Game on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in recognition of National “Wanna Have a Catch Day.”

Inspired by the iconic 1989 film Field of Dreams, the National Day Calendar designated the second Saturday in May as “Wanna Have a Catch Day,” celebrating connection, healing, and the life-transforming impact of organ donation.

This year’s event will feature four Transplant Games of America teams — Team Iowa, Team Wisconsin, Team MO-KAN (Missouri/Kansas), and Team Rocky Mountain — coming together to raise awareness for living organ donation and honor living donors, recipients, and donor families.

Between 9AM-12PM, attendees can have a catch with loved ones, connect with members of the transplant community, and experience the historic movie site. Festivities will include recognition of living donors and donor families, ceremonial first pitches, game ball delivery, and the national anthem. Games begin at 12PM.

Tickets are $40 for individuals ages thirteen and older, with children twelve and under admitted free.
