DES MOINES, IOWA March 27, 2017 - The Board of Directors of Iowa Heartland Resource Conservation & Development (IHRC&D), is pleased to announce Ann Wolf, BA, NMI, CFRE, as its new Executive Director, effective March 22, 2017. Wolf brings a wealth of dynamic and key professional experience to her new leadership role. Ann has over 25 years of experience in professional marketing and public relations. She is a proven business and community leader in nonprofit fundraising and donor centered development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa, as well as certifications from Iowa State University and the United Way of Central Iowa's Nonprofit Leadership Institute. She holds current accreditation with the national and international designation of CFRE, Certified Fund Raising Executive, in ethical non-profit management, strategic leadership and philanthropic donor-centered fundraising.
Ann is recognized locally, regionally and nationally for her hands-on efforts as an Iowa woman farmland owner practicing soil conservation, water quality initiatives, natural habitat and environmental sustainability programs with her own 300-acre farm. She has worked extensively with state and federal government programs and agencies to accomplish best practices and impactful objectives.
Gay Lea Wilson, President of the IHRC&D Board, expressed the enthusiasm of the Board of Directors. "Iowa Heartland RC&D has much to offer Central Iowa. Ann brings strong leadership and an experienced financial vision to this position. We are excited to see new efforts in our rural areas to assist with conservation, economic development, healthy initiatives, as well as history, arts and culture."
Iowa Heartland Resource Conservation & Development (IHRC&D) serves a six county region in central Iowa, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Madison, Warren and Marion counties. The mission is to provide, help and assist communities in achieving healthy social, economic and natural resource outcomes by improving lives, sustaining the environment and creating economic engines throughout the region. In 1994, the Iowa Heartland Resource, Conservation & Development, Inc. was organized as a 501 (c)(3). Its goals and continuing objectives are to enhance rural areas and local communities by facilitating grassroots efforts and partnerships for conservation and sustainable development.
