CEDAR FALLS, IOWA (February 10, 2020) — Applications are now being accepted from Iowa high school seniors in the class of 2020 to represent Iowa at the 2020 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) in Davis, West Virginia. Two students from each state, Washington DC and 8 countries will attend the all-expenses-paid program which is held from June 22 through July 15, 2020. The Iowa Academy of Science works with the Iowa Governor's Office to advertise and select Iowa's delegates. 

The NYSCamp is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program hosted in the eastern mountains of West Virginia. Students will have an opportunity to conduct research at the nearby Green Bank Observatory and to explore the surrounding Monongahela National Forest through backpacking, mountain biking, caving, rock-climbing, and kayaking.
