WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (October 9, 2024) — The Kinseth siblings, Leslie, Bruce, Gary, and Linda Skinner, of Kinseth Hospitality Companies, have been named the 2024 Hoteliers of the Year by the Iowa Hotel and Lodging Association (IHLA). Recognized for their leadership, resilience, and contributions to the hospitality industry, the Kinseths were honored during the IHLA's annual awards luncheon on October 2 in Johnston. They were celebrated alongside recipients in seven additional categories: General Manager, Employee, Champion, Philanthropist, Legislator, Innovator, and Sustainability Property of the Year.

“The Hotelier of the Year award recognizes those who demonstrate exceptional leadership in the lodging industry, from delivering outstanding guest experiences to showcasing business acumen and innovation. The Kinseth family embodies all of these qualities and more. Over the decades, their hard work, family collaboration, and willingness to innovate have not only grown Kinseth Hospitality Companies from a single location in rural Iowa to a portfolio of over 125 hotels, but they’ve also shaped and strengthened the entire industry,” said Jessica Dunker, President and CEO, Iowa Hotel and Lodging Association.
