DES MOINES, IOWA (August 27, 2019) — Dairies competed for top honors in the Jersey Dairy Cattle show judged Thursday, August 9, at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.
The Grand Champion Female was shown by Ski Pal Ayrshires, Epworth. KCCK Genetics, Dyersville, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Female. Rachel Hefel/Bambi/Joe Gibbs, Epwroth, received Honorable Mention.
Schulte Bros of Blairstown earned Champion Premier Exhibitor and Champion Premier Breeder. Arthruracres placed 2nd Exhibitor and Summit Farm Inc was 2nd Premier Breeder, respectively.
The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
