September 13, 2017 - Ames, Iowa - In September, Iowa web firm, Global Reach, was pleased to receive another WebAward for their excellence in web design and development. This time, the award recognized Global Reach’s work for Black Opal Beauty, earning the company a “Standard of Excellence” award in the Fashion/Beauty category.

Mana Products, the company behind the cosmetics brand, is the world's leading contract and private label cosmetics manufacturer. Seeking a top-of-the-line responsive e-commerce website for their Black Opal Beauty line, Mana Products turned to Global Reach for a specialized solution.

It was imperative that the website design maintained the company's premier international status and conformed to its well-known branding. Global Reach worked with the client to ensure they stayed true to brand as they created a dynamic responsive design that not only maintained their identity, but also offered online shoppers an enriched experience with their brand.

From a development standpoint, Global Reach brought the custom needs of the client to fruition, including an integration with Black Opal's ERP system, which enabled inventory to automatically update stock quantities on the website. This integration also allowed for the sending of new orders to the third-party ERP system, and even provided advanced fraud detection when processing credit cards.

Any website changes can be made effortlessly using the SiteViz content management system. Whether new products and images need to be uploaded, a product description edited, a price changed, or a promo code special added, SiteViz provides an administrative panel that makes management a snap. Additionally, SiteViz e-commerce is a PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant platform, meaning shoppers and shop owners alike can be confident that their information is secure.

“Global Reach is always excited to take on specialized projects like that of Black Opal’s,” said President and CEO, Iacovos Zachariades, “We thrive on challenge and take pride in our team’s ability to pinpoint the exact needs of the client, strategizing solutions that will not only streamline the way in which they do business, but will also truly communicate their brand’s identity to the world. To have our dedication and passion for this project recognized alongside so many other exceptional entrants is a great honor.”

The WebAward competition recognizes the people and organizations behind some of the most effective websites on the web today. It is open to all organizations and/or individuals who have played a role throughout the course of a website design and development project.
