QUAD CITIES (February 18, 2019) — Members of Jaycees of the Quad Cities will present a $2,500 check to WQPT Quad Cities PBS Imagination Station’s Planning Committee, at Western Illinois University QC Campus, 3300 River Drive, Moline, Illinois, Riverfront Hall-WQPT Office, on February 27, 2019, at 5:15PM. Jaycees of the Quad Cities has been involved with Imagination Station since it’s reinstatement providing WQPT with committee members, volunteers and the sponsorship of educational stations. This year they will once again sponsor the Wild Kratt’s station with live animals from the Wapsi Environmental Educational Center.

WQPT’s Imagination Station, in its fifth year, builds on the learning success created by PBS KIDS programming with educational activities, demonstrations and skill building in literacy, science, technology, engineering, math, arts and resiliency. Imagination Station is a ticketed event, which is free to attend. Tickets go live Friday March 1st, 2019 at 8:00am sharp. Tickets are first come first serve and available online at https://www.wqpt.org/imaginationstation/.

About Jaycees of the Quad Cities: Jaycees of the Quad Cities is a membership association of 21 to 40 year olds dedicated to making a positive change in their communities and world. We aim to build personal and professional relationships by work together on projects to strengthen and grow the Quad-Cities community. The Quad Cities Chapter is one of the oldest chapters in the state of Iowa and has grown to include young professionals from both sides of the Mississippi River. They pride themselves on blending social opportunities with service — like planning the annual Bridal Expo and the Brew Ha Ha that raise funds for charitable initiatives. If you would like more information on this project or becoming a member, please visit www.jayceesqc.org or call Nikki Schaul, Jaycees of the Quad Cities 2019 VP of Public Relations and Marketing, at 319.389.0009.
