DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 28, 2021) — The West Davenport Arts Council, in conjunction with Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities (MCC QC), is hosting an art exhibition for local artist Jen Hansen on the evening of Wednesday, June 30, 6-8PM. Light refreshments will be served. Jen's art is currently on display at MCC QC, located at 2930 Locust St in Davenport, through the end of July.

Jen is an outsider artist who found their calling while taking a class to teach therapeutic art. Living with an illness brought them to a place of living art and all of the joy that comes with this freedom.

This exhibit is the first of the “Fourth Wednesdays Art Receptions,” which will be hosted at MCC QC, although this kick-off event is actually on the fifth Wednesday.

West Davenport Arts Council is currently seeking artists who wish to display their artwork in a welcoming and inclusive community. MCCQC's gallery wall and permanent art displays are open to the public on Sundays from 10AM-1PM and by appointment.

For more information about the artist or this exhibit, please contact artist Jen Hansen at 309-558-5806 or by e-mail at jenhansen76@gmail.com.
