At the opening, Friday, February February 24th (6 to 9 P.m.) fellow Left Bank Art League artists, Pat Halverson (oil) & Rose Moore (pastel), will demo during the opening.
For the past 15 years Judy has been a well-known and locally involved artist; a member of Quad Cities Art, Figge Art Museum, The Collective Arts, Left Bank Art League, MidCoast Arts, MRVAT, The Art Garage, and Davenport Art Museum - Life Drawing. Her art pieces have been displayed in numerous art shows and local galleries.
Gray worked religiously at her craft. She explored a variety of mediums in expressing from photo realism to whimsical fantasy. Her passion, as a life long learner, brought her to many locations across the United States to study with some of the finest artists of our time. Original work, along with prints will be made available to the public with a portion of the proceeds to go to a scholarship fund created in her honor. "Many of Judy's friends, community and art patrons wanted to know how to acquire some of her work", says Pat Bereskin, owner of Bereskin Gallery. "We met with the family and they were touched and happy to make her work available for this worthy cause." As a teacher, herself, Gray was well aware of those gifted students who were unable to study further because of financial restraints.
The show runs through March 18th, 2017. For additional information on the show please contact Pat at the gallery, 225 E. 2nd St., Davenport, IA. bereskinartgallery@gmail.c
