What: Landmarks Illinois, the only statewide nonprofit historic preservation advocacy organization, will announce the sites on its 2019 Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois at a press conference open to the public. The press conference will also be streamed live on Landmarks Illinois’ Facebook page.

2019 Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois sites are located within the following counties: Champaign, Cook, Jo Daviess, Rock Island, Schuyler, St Clair, and Winnebago.

Additional information: Landmarks Illinois’ annual Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois list calls attention to historic sites throughout the state that are currently threatened by deterioration, demolition, lack of maintenance, insufficient-funds, or inappropriate-development. The annual list also aims to bolster local-advocacy efforts and build support for each property’s eventual preservation.
