MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 10, 2026) — Visit Quad Cities is excited to welcome back the largest event in Illinois for competitive women’s bowling, the Illinois State USBC’s 97th Annual Women’s Tournament, for its first return to the Quad Cities since 1994, with participation on the rise this year. This tournament opens February 21 and runs through April 19 at Highland Park Bowl in Moline.

“I would like to give a shout-out to the local association Board of Directors for Greater Rock Island County USBC and the management at Highland Park Bowl for how wonderful they have been to work with and how eager they are to make this tournament a success,” said Sandy Darnstaedt, Tournament Manager, Illinois State USBC.

“The Illinois State USBC also conducts a youth scholarship tournament for local youth bowlers called the Hilda E Schroeder Youth Invitational, which will be held at QC Entertainment on March 14. The tournament is held in conjunction with the State Women’s Tournament and takes place in the same area.”

This extended tournament is expected to bring hundreds of bowlers and their families to the Quad Cities over the course of nearly two months, generating overnight stays and visits to local restaurants, attractions, and businesses. Participants from across Illinois will compete in this USBC-certified tournament, showcasing talent and sportsmanship in a variety of squad times throughout the duration.

“Welcoming the Illinois State USBC Women’s Tournament back to the Quad Cities for the first time since 1994 reflects the strength of our sports venues and the collaborative work of Sports QC and our local partners,” said Joan Kranovich, Vice President of Business Growth and Director of Sports QC, powered by Visit Quad Cities.

“Events like this drive meaningful economic impact while showcasing our community as a welcoming destination for athletes and families, and we’re proud to help create opportunities that benefit both visitors and our region.”
