Rock Island Arsenal/April 3rd 2018: The National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) Iowa-Illinois Chapter is committed to growing local, small businesses. To bolster these efforts, NDIA will be hosting their first ever educational seminar at the Arsenal Island Golf Course and Clubhouse on Thursday, April 12th from 11:30am – 1pm.

This NDIA sponsored luncheon will be in conjunction with the Quad Cities Iowa and Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC).  Discussions will center on how small business owners can best use procurement technical assistance centers in our area.  Special guests Melissa Burant of Iowa State University and Keli Krueger-Huhra of Bradley University will lead the discussion.  Other small business resource partners from the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Quad Cities SCORE, and Small Business Administration will also be present to contribute to the discussions.

Advance tickets for this luncheon are $15 for NDIA members, $20 for nonmembers, with a $5 increase if purchased at the door. You can register by going to the following website: http://www.ndia-ia-il.org/docs/2018luncheon.pdf

Those interested in attending this special event need only present a government issued ID at the Rock Island Arsenal’s gate and notify the guard you are attending the NDIA event and you will be granted access.

About PTAC:   These Centers provide local business owners onsite, in-person technical training to help them provide their products and services to governmental entities from a local to federal level. In 2016 alone, PTAC clients were awarded 87,000 contracts worth nearly $16.5 billion as part of their government partnerships.

About NDIA: This is a non-partisan, non-profit educational association promoting national security and dedicated to strong national defense through industrial preparedness. The Iowa-Illinois Chapter provides geographic coverage for Iowa and the western 1/3 of Illinois, furthering the national objectives and policies.  This luncheon event and their upcoming 11th Annual Midwest Government Contracting Symposium on May 23rd and 24th at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline support their mission.
