DAVENPORT, Iowa – March 6, 2017The huge orange hat with the chartreuse flowers you wear only for special occasions will fit perfectly with the theme of the Mad Hatter Tea on April 1 at the Outing Club in Davenport.

Big, fun, whimsical hats are encouraged for the event, which will benefit Genesis Grief Support services. There will be tea, refreshments, a silent auction and a light-hearted presentation by Genesis chaplain Jeanne Olsen.

Genesis Grief Support Cooperative has expanded grief support services to include all patients and their loved ones.

Genesis Grief Support provides care to people experiencing:

  • Bereavement (death of a loved one)

  • Terminal diagnosis

  • Job loss

  • Divorce/separation/loss of a special relationship

  • Alzheimer’s/dementia in a loved one

  • Loss of health

  • Home loss

  • Perinatal loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc.)

  • And any non-specific grief
