DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 15, 2026) — McCarthy Improvement Company has named Coty Fournier as President. Part of the McCarthy-Bush Corporation family of companies, McCarthy Improvement specializes in heavy civil and industrial construction, with a history of serving clients across the Midwest and Southeast since 1897.

Fournier brings more than 35 years of construction-industry experience spanning executive leadership, operations, business development, preconstruction, strategic planning, and talent development. Her career has given her experience from nearly every perspective within the industry, including as an owner, general contractor, design-builder, consultant, and construction-technology entrepreneur.

Most recently, Fournier served as a senior executive consultant with Well Built Construction Consulting, advising general, and specialty contractors across the country on strategic planning, operational performance, business development, and leadership development. She previously founded and led Coty Fournier Inc, a construction management consulting firm focused on strategic planning, program management, owner’s representation, and professional talent development.

Her career also includes founding construction technology company Jobsite123.com, later acquired by Contractors Register; serving as Vice President at The Blue Book of Building and Construction Network; and holding senior leadership roles with Miller Construction Company. Fournier began her career with Turner Construction Company.

“Coty brings a combination of construction experience, business perspective, and leadership that is difficult to find,” said Mike Bush, CEO of McCarthy-Bush Corporation.

“She understands the operational side of the business, but she also knows how to develop people, build relationships, and identify opportunities for growth. We believe she is the right person to build on McCarthy Improvement’s strengths and lead the company into its next chapter.”

Beyond her executive experience, Fournier is an active construction industry educator, speaker, and author of Inside Commercial Construction’s MVPs. She has delivered keynotes and training for construction professionals across the country and facilitated programs for organizations including Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Master Builders of Iowa (MBI), American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), and National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). She has also served as a guest lecturer for construction-management programs at several Universities across the United States.

“I am honored to join the McCarthy-Bush family of companies and build upon their 130-year legacy,” said Fournier.

“Beyond my commitment to McCarthy Improvement’s long-term strategic initiatives and success, I am coming with a field-first leadership philosophy and the meta-goal to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone on the team. My love for the construction industry is literally all about the people.”

Fournier holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Michigan State University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
