MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 23, 2021) – For 17 years, Midwest Hope and Healing offered encouragement and comfort to more than 3,800 breast cancer patients with the distribution of their signature healing baskets. Through the generosity of donors, Midwest Hope and Healing established a grantmaking fund at The Moline Foundation to continue their legacy of caring for those newly diagnosed.

“Midwest Hope and Healing is pleased to announce its 2021 grant recipients. We are honored to provide funds to these organizations that continue to make the Quad Cities a better place to live and work,” exclaimed Colleen Borts, Founder/Midwest Hope and Healing. This year, Midwest Hope and Healing is honored to award financial support to:

  • Genesis Health Services Foundation
  • Gilda's Club Quad Cities
  • Living Proof Exhibit

"The Voucher Program at Genesis Health System, established more than 20 years ago, has assisted thousands of men and women get life-saving breast-imaging in a timely manner, regardless of ability to pay. We cannot thank the Moline Foundation and funding from Midwest Hope and Healing enough for the very generous grant in support of this program," said Diane Koster, Women's Health Grant Program Specialist.

"It's our goal that cost would never be a barrier for patients to receive these important breast imaging services. We are excited and grateful to receive the continued, generous support from Midwest Hope and Healing.
