MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 19, 2020) — The Moline Foundation Board has approved $285,000 in funding for 42 area non-profit organizations. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and for the first-time in 67 years, The Moline Foundation accepted applications for operating support along with the traditional funding areas of capital and program expenses.

Board Chair Steve Kruse “With many non-profits experiencing increased demands for services while also facing revenue limitations, we felt it was important to provide assistance with operating expenses in some cases.  During these unprecedented times, this flexibility will allow our non-profit partners the opportunity to utilize this financial support as necessary.”

Paul Plagenz, President and CEO, “The change in submission criteria along with a simplified application process allowed non-profits more time to focus on serving their clients and less on grant writing.”
