Sight-Size Cast Drawing in Charcoal Course
Saturday 12–3pm, April 7 - May 12
Cast drawing is a traditional approach for learning how to copy proportions correctly and to model the effect of light and shadow through a step by step progression. Drawing from the cast prepares the student for the live model and other complex subjects. Casts simplify drawing problems due to their being stationary, as they allow the student to draw from them for an extended period under the same lighting condition. Personalized instruction will explain and demonstrate each stage of the process specific to the individual’s skill level and needs. Drawings will be completed in charcoal. (Material list upon request.) $200

With 22 summer programs students from 5 years old to adults can find something to their liking. From beginner to seasoned artist, our goal is to provide great learning experiences for all our students.
