LeClaire, LeClaire, Iowa (July 2017) - Gilda’s Club is excited to announce it will be moving the 5th Annual Bags & Brews event to LeClaire, Iowa.  This years’ event will be held on Saturday, September 23rd from 2:30 - 7 p.m. at the Riverfront Levee/Pavilion in LeClaire, Iowa (117 South Front Street).

The event has been held the past 4 years in The Village of East Davenport but was moved this year due to an increase in rental fees for Davenport city parks.  “We are so appreciative of the support we’ve gotten for this event over the past 4 years from the Davenport community and although this was not an easy decision, we are looking forward to working with the city of LeClaire and are excited to be bringing this event to their community.” stated Joy McMeekan, Development Director for Gilda’s Club. “This is a highly-anticipated event and we look forward to continually growing this event each year.  This not only allows us to raise additional funds for Gilda’s Club, but to also raise awareness of the free programs and services that Gilda’s Club provides to those in our community that are impacted by cancer.”

Bags and Brews will feature great beer samples from 10-12 local breweries as well as live music. Free food will be provided by Famous Dave’s. The event also includes a silent auction, raffle, side games and more.

Admission is a $20 donation to Gilda’s Club which includes the beer tastings and food. Attendees also have the option to participate in the bags tournament for $35 per person which includes 1 individual tournament entry, beer tastings and food.  Bags tournament teams will consist of 2 members and tournament is limited to 64 teams. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st ($250), 2nd ($100), and 3rd ($50) place teams.
