Registration deadline is Monday, April 3.

Moline, IL (March 28, 2017) – PR Network of the Quad Cities invite marketing, public relations and advertising professionals of all career levels to attend the Half Day Workshop on Thursday, April 13 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the iWireless Center in Moline, IL. Registration deadline is Monday, April 3.

The morning will consist of one keynote presentation, and four breakout sessions lead by industry leaders from around the Quad Cities. Any professionals, or students, interested in marketing, public relations, communications and advertising are encouraged to attend to network with peers and learn about the latest industry trends. Registration is available online at http://www.prnetworkqc.org/workshop.php.

Josh Krakauer, CEO and Co-Founder of Sculpt, an Iowa City social media agency, will be the keynote presenter.

“We’re lucky to have Josh has our keynote speaker,” says Ronna Walker Johnson, president of PR Network, “His spunky personality and passion for social media and digital marketing will leave our attendees feeling revved up about the new knowledge they can take and apply in their careers.”

Krakauer launched Sculpt in 2012 with a simple mission, to help brands, big or small, connect with consumers more humanly. What started as a social media management shop grew into the culture-driven, creative agency Sculpt is today.

The title of Krakauer’s presentation is, “Know to Grow: Why the best marketers don’t guess, they listen.” He will share strategies for capturing consumer insights across the entire buyers’ journey and teach how to apply it to social media and digital marketing efforts. Attendees will walk away with specific steps for learning their consumer’s pain points, needs and desires in order to make more meaningful marketing.

“Not only are we thrilled to have Josh, but our breakout session leaders are among the best in our field,” says Johnson.

After the keynote presentation, a series of four breakout sessions will occur. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose two of the four breakout sessions to attend. They include:

  • James Patrick Schmidt – MindFire Communications

    • Session: The art/science of paid media: How to buy eyeballs, engagement, and earworms.

  • Ryan Orr and Jennifer Verscha – dphilms

    • Session: Chemistry of a viral video.

  • Erin Platt – Independent PR Consultant

    • Session: Building effective relationships with the media: Pitching and making the news.

  • Stephanie De Pasquale Soebbing – Quilt Addicts Anonymous

    • Session: Blogging for conversion: How to create content that sells without selling.
