Quad Cities – To kick off Tourism Week, the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (QCCVB) announces today a new program for visitors.

Visitors can get a free V.I.V. Wristband when they are here in the Quad Cities this summer to show at the over 20 participating businesses to receive a discount or special.  V.I.V. stands for Very Important Visitor.  The neon green wristbands can be picked up at the four QCCVB Visitor Centers until September 4, 2017.  Discounts vary from discounted admissions to free smoothies.

“Our visitors don’t have to worry about carrying around paper coupon books and remembering codes anymore,” says Molly Otting Carlson, QCCVB vice-president of destination development.  “The V.I.V. Wristband is an easy way for visitors to have an affordable stay in the Quad Cities.”

The V.I.V. Wristbands will also be given to visitors at tournaments, meetings, and conventions that the QCCVB is working with this summer.
