WHAT: Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport Exhibition
WHEN: Sept 5 - Oct 31, 2018
WHERE: Quad City International Airport Gallery, 2200 69th Ave., Moline, IL
WHO: Lori Miller of Eldridge, IA with Janis Wunderlich and Paul Scott Page of Monmouth, IL
Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents artwork by Lori Miller, Janis Wunderlich and Paul Scott Page for the months of September and October 2018.
Lori Miller uses carefully cut pieces of fabric and found bits of metal to create mosaic compositions reflecting the effects of natural phenomena found in nature, specifically the formation of rock and ground formations.
Janis Wunderlich is “inspired by the joys and struggles in everyday life and symbolizes the daily journey by the use of water and river imagery” in her abstract figurative sculptures, drawings, and etchings.
Paul Scott Page presents “Maps to Non-Existent Places,” a series of color photographs that will look somehow familiar to the viewer regardless of whether you have been there. These are images of places that could be anywhere and might go unremarked until confronted with its image as a reminder to take a closer look.
Come see how these artists—each utilizing different media—are united by a shared influence of their surroundings to create a dialog with you, the viewer.
Art @ the Airport in The Quad City International airport gallery is easy to find-just across from the gift shop and restaurant and before the security check-point. It never closes, and you’ll pay just a dollar for parking.
