MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 8, 2023) — The Steamwheelers' 2024 regular season schedule is set.
The Quad City Steamwheelers will open their 2024 season on a Friday night at home against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Sioux Falls Storm on Friday, March 22. Following a bye-week, the Steamwheelers will again be at home Saturday, April 6, in a bout versus the Green Bay Blizzard.
After a road trip to take on the Frisco Fighters in a 2023 IFL playoffs round-one rematch, the Wheelers will host back-to-back home games. The first against the rival Massachusetts Pirates on Saturday, April 20, followed by a Sunday afternoon game versus the Tulsa Oilers on April 28. The Steamwheelers will then travel down I-80 to take on the Iowa Barnstormers, followed by a road trip to Sioux Falls to take on the Storm. Rounding out the first half of the season, the Steamwheelers will come back to Vibrant Arena at the MARK to take on the Iowa Barnstormers on Friday, May 17.
After a bye-week during Memorial Day weekend, the sQUAD will travel to Green Bay to take on the Blizzard followed by a potentially huge match-up at home against the Frisco Fighters on Saturday, June 8. The Steamwheelers will again take a trip to Des Moines to take on the Iowa Barnstormers, then come home to host the Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday, June 22.
After hitching a flight to Massachusetts for a Monday night matchup with the Pirates, Quad City will be back at home to take on the Sioux Falls Storm on Saturday, July 6. Closing out the season the Steamwheelers will travel to Tulsa to take on the Oilers, followed by a trip to Jacksonville to take on the new kids on the block.
